Stop Stripping Every Wire by Hand

Manual stripping for every wire? There's a more practical way to handle repetitive jobs.

The IronRidge Electric Wire Stripper uses a 60W geared motor and seven feed openings to help you strip compatible insulated wires with less repetitive handwork. From workshop cable preparation to DIY wiring projects, get a dedicated setup for handling different wire sizes.

The Small Tasks That Slow Down the Bigger Job

Stripping wire is only one part of electrical work, but when you have multiple cables to prepare, doing each one by hand can become repetitive and time-consuming.

Switching between different wire sizes adds another step, and preparing each cable individually can interrupt your workflow.

Whether you're working in a workshop, handling cable offcuts, or tackling a DIY project, having a dedicated machine for repetitive stripping tasks can make wire preparation more manageable.

Love the Results or Get Your Money Back

Put the IronRidge Electric Wire Stripper to work on your next wiring or workshop project and experience a more practical way to prepare cables. If it doesn't meet your expectations, you're backed by our 30-day money-back guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our products, shipping, returns, and more.

Can I use it to strip wire ends for connections? +

No. It’s designed for removing jackets along the length of a cable, not for stripping a short section at the end. For terminations, a hand wire stripper is still the right tool.

How do I set the blade depth? +

Start shallow and test on a short offcut. Increase the depth a little at a time until the jacket opens cleanly without touching the conductor.

Who is this tool for? +

Electricians, contractors, DIYers, and workshops that need to remove insulation from longer lengths of cable quickly, such as when clearing offcuts or reclaiming wire from old installations.

Will it nick or damage the conductor? +

Not when the blade is set correctly. Most nicking comes from setting the blade too deep, so adjust gradually.

Can it strip wire thinner than 1.5 mm? +

No. Wire below 1.5 mm is outside the machine’s range and won’t feed or cut reliably.

Do I have to pull the wire through myself? +

No. The motor pulls the wire through automatically. You just guide it into the channel.

Does it work on flat cable? +

Yes. One of the seven channels is a flat slot designed for flat or twin cable.

How fast does it strip? +

It feeds continuously, so it’s much faster than running a knife along the cable by hand. Actual speed depends on the wire size and jacket type.
